Welcome to the local chapter of the world-famous Hash House Harriers (H3). We are a social running and walking club, famously described as "a drinking club with a running problem."
Hashing is a mixture of athletic activity, socializing, and puzzle solving. One or more members (the "Hares") lay a trail of flour, chalk, or toilet paper through woods, streets, alleys, and parks.
The rest of the pack (the "Harriers" and "Harriettes") try to follow the trail, solve checks, and find the end where beer, water, and snacks await.
It is not a race! The trails are intentionally designed with false trails, checks, and loops so the fast runners run further and search, allowing the walkers and joggers to catch up.
